alter your moods and also how

artists are so incredibly creative

when writing their lyrics/songs.

There is alwyas a song that will

make you feel seen!

"Moon Song" by Phoebe Bridgers

this song is the epitome of a song that haunts you,

both in the melody and meaning. Each verse is full of

beautiful metaphors and vivid imagrey, capturing the

conflicting feelings of angry heartbreak and loving

forgiveness one simultaneously feels during a

relationship. the throbbing guitar, guided by the soft

drumbeat brings a sort of beautiful melancholic

mellowness, tying the song alltogether. Moon Song

depicts the crushing reflection of one's unwavering

love tunring into blind self-sacrifice, but the narrator

is too naive to understand.

Suggested listen: in the cozy of your room, as a

companion to your cry

"My Honest Face" by Inhaler

the rythmic drumbeat and guiatr pull you in at once,

creating the irresistible feeling of wanting to bob

your head to the beat. It feels like the perfect bulidup

of anticipation to the first verse. The song's lyrics

perfectly convey the internal turmoil one feels when

trying to establish their identity, while also grappling

the anxiety of how others may perceive them. The

bridge of My Honest Face is by far one of the greatest.

Elijah evokes such poignant emotions and tension with

the alliteration from his vocal stuttering. It is the

intensely vulnerable lyrics against the exhilarating

melody that makes the song so special.

Suggested listen: in any scenario where you can belt

the lyrics and feel liberation

"Heroes" by The Truth

the song immediatley opens with a racing electronic

melody that effortlessly unites the sudden eruption

of pulsating bass and synthesizer. in this intro alone,

Heroes creates the unmistakable feeling of euphoric

adrenaline, which is further expressed as the song

progresses. in the latter parts of Heroes, the tone

becomes nostalgic and dreamlike, hinting at the

song's end. ultimatley, Heroes terminates in the same

way it began: the bass and synth abruptly cut, leaving

behind only the numbess of the melody.

Suggested listen: in a dim room where you can dance

with friends

"Bad" by U2

in the six minutes and eight seconds of bad, U2

creates a beautifully complex song that slowly

bulids up with anticipation, climaxing at the four

minute and forty second mark. from the increse

in desperation from Bono's voice, to the

intensifying drums, it is instantly apparent that

the song is about the hungry yearning for

liberation. whether that liberation is interpreted

to be from one's internal turmoil or for

another's, Bad offers hope to its listener.

Suggested listen: on the road to somewhere new
